Why do I need to purchase Worry-Free returns?

Because of the unique nature of our inventory, all items are final sale unless Worry-Free Return Protection is purchased at checkout. Our products are authentic pro stock gear sourced directly from professional and NHL locker rooms. Once an item leaves our facility, we cannot verify how it has been handled, used, or altered, and even minor changes can impact its condition, performance, and value. Additionally, many items are one-of-a-kind or custom-built, meaning they cannot be replaced or restocked.

Worry-Free Return Protection is the only way to make your order eligible for a return. Without it, all sales are final. This policy also helps us manage significant costs associated with duties, tariffs, and fraudulent return attempts, while continuing to offer high-end professional equipment at heavily discounted prices. We strongly recommend adding Worry-Free at checkout to protect your purchase and give you peace of mind.

What if I do not purchase Worry-Free shipping insurance, will my parcel be protected?

If you choose not to purchase Worry-Free Shipping Insurance at checkout, your parcel will not be protected once it leaves our facility. This means that in the event your package is lost, stolen, or damaged during transit, we are unable to offer a replacement, refund, or compensation. While we carefully pack and ship every order to ensure it arrives safely, issues that occur during shipping are outside of our control. Worry-Free Shipping Insurance is the only way to fully protect your order and ensure you’re covered against these risks, so we strongly recommend adding it for peace of mind.

Why did you have Worry-Free returns?

We offer Worry-Free protection to provide our customers with an added layer of protection that we simply cannot offer on our own. As a small business specializing in authentic pro stock hockey equipment, all of our items are final sale due to their unique, non-replaceable nature and the risks associated with returns, shipping issues, and fraud. At the same time, we understand that customers want peace of mind when making a purchase. Worry-Free protection allows us to bridge that gap by offering optional protection for returns, lost or damaged shipments, and other unforeseen issues. This partnership ensures that you have coverage available, while allowing us to continue offering high-end pro equipment at discounted prices without increasing our costs across the board.

Are there any exceptions?

All sales are final, and there are no exceptions to our return and exchange policy unless Worry-Free Protection is purchased at checkout. Due to the unique, pro stock nature of our equipment and the inability to verify condition once items leave our facility, we cannot make case-by-case exceptions for returns, exchanges, or order cancellations. This policy also protects us from fraud, unrecoverable shipping costs, and tariffs on international orders. If you would like coverage or flexibility with your order, the only way to do so is by adding Seel Protection at the time of purchase.

Why are some items not eligible for Worry-Free protection?

Certain products may not be eligible for Worry-Free Protection. This is a decision made by Seel and not by North Prostock. Some items have too high a risk of issues and Seel does not offer protection on them.

Can I add Worry-Free Protection after placing my order?

No, Worry-Free Protection must be purchased at the time of checkout. Once your order is completed, we are unable to retroactively add protection to your purchase.

How do I start a return if I purchased Worry-Free Protection?

You can use the self-service portal on the website.

What happens if my package is lost or arrives damaged?

If you purchased Worry-Free Protection at checkout, you can file a claim directly on our website and may be eligible for compensation if your package is lost or arrives damaged. We will review your claim and handle the resolution based on their coverage terms. If Worry-Free Protection was not added, your order is not covered once it leaves our facility, and we are unable to offer refunds, replacements, or compensation for any shipping-related issues. Please note theft is not covered!

Does Worry-Free Protection guarantee a return will be approved?

All claims are reviewed by our team based on the terms and conditions. While we offer protection, approval of claims is not guaranteed in every situation.

Is Worry-Free Protection refundable?

Worry-Free Protection is non-refundable once purchased, as it provides immediate coverage for your order.

Why is Worry-Free Protection optional instead of included?

We keep Worry-Free Protection optional to give customers flexibility. This allows us to keep our prices as low as possible while still offering an added layer of protection for those who want it.

Do I still need Worry-Free Protection if I’m confident in my purchase?

While you may feel confident in your selection, Worry-Free Protection is the only way to safeguard your order against unexpected issues like shipping problems or the need for a return. Without it, all sales are final.

Why We Cannot Accept Returns or Exchanges At This Time Id You Do Not Purchase Worry-Free Protection

1. Product Integrity:

Once an item leaves our warehouse, we cannot verify how it has been handled, stored, or used. Because our products come directly from professional and NHL locker rooms, many items are unique, pro stock pieces that cannot simply be replaced or restocked. For that reason, maintaining the integrity and authenticity of our inventory is extremely important to us.

After a product has been in a customer’s possession, we have no way of confirming whether it has been used on the ice, altered, modified, re-taped, cut down, or otherwise damaged. Even minor use or adjustments can affect the condition and value of pro stock equipment. As a result, we cannot accept returned items that may have been altered, used, or damaged after leaving our facility. This policy helps protect our business and ensures fairness and consistency for all customers.

2. American Tariffs:

Due to recent trade policy changes under the Trump administration, including the implementation of a 35% tariff on applicable goods entering the United States, we have had to reassess our return policy for U.S. orders.

To keep things simple and transparent for our customers, we charge a flat $39 shipping fee that includes all duties, taxes, and tariffs. However, this flat rate does not come close to covering the full 35% tariff, and we absorb the majority of these costs ourselves. Unfortunately, when items are returned from the United States, we are unable to recover the tariffs and duties already paid to the U.S. government. This results in substantial financial losses on returned shipments.

For this reason, we are no longer able to accept returns from the United States. We understand this may be disappointing and sincerely appreciate your understanding as we navigate these significant regulatory and cost challenges.

3. Fraud Prevention:

Due to a growing number of fraudulent and scam-related attempts, we are unable to accept returns on any items, especially hockey sticks. We have experienced situations where products sent back to us were not the original items purchased from North Prostock, including different models, altered sticks, or items not sourced from us at all. These incidents are costly, time-consuming, and unsustainable for our business.

To protect our company and maintain fair pricing for our customers, we have implemented a strict no-return policy on all items. We encourage customers to carefully review product details and specifications before purchasing and to reach out with any questions beforehand.

4. Custom Products:

Many of our products are custom-made or Pro Stock gear, specifically designed for professional athletes. As these items are highly specialized, they are non-returnable and non-exchangeable. These products are not available in retail stores, and due to their custom nature, once purchased, they cannot be resold. We photograph the sticks in great detail. These sticks can have custom curves, build codes weights, colours and more. Receiving the stick exactly as it appears in the listing, but not what you were expecting is not a valid reason for a return

5. Cosmetic Blemishes / Damage:

We do not accept returns or exchanges on new sticks due to minor cosmetic damage or slight imperfections. Our sticks are authentic pro stock equipment sold at a substantial discount because they are sourced directly from teams. As a result, they have traveled in team equipment bags, may have been taped (even if never used in play), and have been transported in bulk shipping containers before arriving to us. Minor scuffs, surface marks, or cosmetic blemishes are normal with pro stock gear and do not affect performance. If you are looking for a guaranteed blemish-free, pristine product, we recommend purchasing retail equipment at full price, which typically costs significantly more and comes with that level of cosmetic assurance.

6. Gear That's Already Shipped

We are unable to accept returns or exchanges once an order has shipped. Our fulfillment process moves very quickly, and as soon as a stick is ordered it is often packed and dispatched immediately. Even if you email or call shortly after placing your order, we cannot guarantee that it has not already been shipped. Additionally, delivery delays caused by carriers or customs that result in gear arriving later than the estimated shipping date do not qualify as valid reasons for a return or exchange. We appreciate your understanding, as these policies allow us to operate efficiently and continue offering pro stock gear at heavily discounted prices.

Warranty questions and answers

1. Why don't you offer a warranty for free? Other companies do.

We do not offer any warranty on our sticks. All of our equipment is authentic pro stock gear sourced directly from professional teams, and it is sold as-is with no manufacturer warranty attached. Unlike large national retailers such as Pro Hockey Life or Pure Hockey, we are a small, family-run business. Major retail chains are backed by companies worth hundreds of millions of dollars, and in most cases, warranty coverage is supported by the manufacturers themselves - such as Bauer, CCM, Warrior, and TRUE - not the retailer.

We purchase our gear directly from pro teams, and once it leaves our hands, it is final sale with no warranty coverage. The benefit to you is significant upfront savings on high-end professional equipment. However, if the gear fails or breaks, we cannot assume responsibility or provide free replacement items.

That said, if something breaks unusually quickly, we still encourage you to reach out. Please call or text us at 647-394-4625 or email admin@northprostock.ca, and we will do our best to help. While we cannot offer free replacement gear, we may be able to provide a small discount on a replacement depending on the circumstances.

2. What happens if my stick break sooner than expected?

No hockey stick is indestructible. Breakage can occur due to normal wear, improper use, slashes, impacts, as well as several other reasons. We cannot guarantee lifespan.

We do not offer free replacements or warranty coverage. However, if your stick breaks unusually quickly, please contact us. We may be able to offer a small discount on a replacement depending on the situation.

Hockey sticks do break, it is unfortunate but it is a reality. Hockey is a fast-paced, violent sport which is wildly unpredictable. Though we do value you as a customer, if you want a warranty, we strongly encourage you to shop with another retailer. The gear will often times be more than twice the money, but you will have a limited warranty with other stores

3. Why don’t you offer warranties like big retail stores?

Large retailers often have warranty programs backed directly by manufacturers. As a small business sourcing pro stock gear directly from teams, manufacturer warranties do not apply to our inventory.
